We are passionate about our littles. Our Kingdom Kids are the Life-Blood of our church! So we intentionally create a safe and exciting environment where our children can KNOW & GROW! They will KNOW and find real meaning by discovering that God Loves them (and we do, too), so that they can GROW in such a way that they will impact their world for Jesus!

We strive to create a foundation of spiritual growth based on and grounded in the truths of God’s Word. Each and every child, from birth to 5th grade will strategically be provided with age-appropriate Bible lessons, numerous small group activities and an exciting and engaging worship experience – all with the goal of showing kids the way to Jesus.

Sunday School - 10 am

We believe that early Christian education is imperative in shaping the formative years of our children’s lives. During Sunday School our Kingdom Kids will get engaged in age-appropriate Bible lessons that will help lay their spiritual foundation and equip them for the plan and purpose God has for their future.

Children's Church - 11 am

Immediately after we worship in song (in Big church) we dismiss our Kingdom Kids to their very own Children’s Church! This allows them the space to learn how to worship corporately and embrace the teachings of God’s Word in an environment that is fun and exciting!

Vacation Bible School

VBS is our favorite week of the year! At VBS, children are introduced to God, memorize Scripture, play exciting games, and make new friends. VBS takes place every summer and our entire church get involved to create a great environment for all kids who attend.

Baby/Parent Dedication

We conduct a Baby Dedication Ceremony every year (usually on Mother’s Day). If your family is interested in participating in this annual dedication ceremony, please contact our church offices at (903) 785-5005 or office@directbaptistchurch.com.

Promotion Sunday

We also celebrate ‘Promotion Sunday’ every year in August. Those kids promoting up to their next class will receive a Promotion Certificate and will be recognized during our Sunday morning worship services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Upon entering our church building, you will be greeted by members of our Welcome Team. One of our Welcome Team members will escort you and your family to the Nursery/Kingdom Kids area.

If your child will be staying in our Nursery, we ask that you please bring the following items if able;

A diaper bag with your child’s name on it, that includes:
2 -3 disposable diapers
A complete change of clothes
Bottle with juice, formula, milk or water

Older Preschoolers will receive snacks that consist of water and either animal crackers or gold fish.

In order to keep track of your child’s belongings, please label all items including; pacifiers, cups, stuffed animals, etc. with their first and last name.

PLEASE INFORM KINGDOM KIDS WORKERS OF ALL OF YOUR CHILD’S ALLERGIES.

Your children’s safety and security is among our highest priorities. For this reason, we are very careful as to whom we allow to serve in this ministry. All Kingdom Kids Serve Team members must be a member of Direct Baptist Church (for at least 6 months), be willing to complete our Kingdom Kids Serve Team member form and submit and pass our background check. Our background checks are conducted through ProtectMyMinistry.com.

Our Kingdom Kids ministry abides by a very detailed Child Protection Policy, which includes specific rules and procedures that all children’s ministries must follow.

Alongside our DBC Safety and Security Team, there are medical stations throughout our church facility as well as an EMT on site for every church service or event. In the event of a medical emergency, the child’s parents will also be notified immediately.
